What is Reiki

The work Reiki is derived from two Japanese words—‘rei’ meaning Universal Spirit and ‘ki’ meaning Life Force Energy. It is an ancient healing art which uses universal life force energy and seeks to restore order to the body whose vital energy has become unbalanced.

When used for healing, Reiki is able to provide exactly what is needed on all levels…physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. It helps to create a harmonious environment within one’s being so true healing can take place. There is no belief system or religion attached to Reiki, so anyone can receive a Reiki treatment. The only prerequisite is the desire to receive the healing.

Reiki does not take the place of traditional medical care and is not a substitute for medical treatment or diagnosis of a medical condition. Reiki can serve in an effective partnership with traditional medicine to provide maximum wellness for the whole person. I look forward to working with you.
